Opentrons Labworks, Inc. Appoints Chief Financial Officer, And Chief Legal And Compliance Officer

Eva Boratto joins as chief financial officer and member of the board of directors, and Veleka Peeples-Dyer joins as chief legal and compliance officer

Long Island City, N.Y., March 15, 2022 — Opentrons Labworks, Inc., today announced the appointments of Eva Boratto as chief financial officer and member of the board of directors, and Veleka Peeples-Dyer as chief legal and compliance officer. The breadth of Boratto’s and Peeples-Dyer’s expertise and influence position the company to accelerate its strategic plans for growth and expansion in biotech automation, clinical diagnostics and synthetic biology.

Boratto joins Opentrons following her role as executive vice president and chief financial officer of CVS Health, Inc., a Fortune 5 company. During her tenure at CVS Health, she led the integration of the finance function following the company’s 2018 acquisition of Aetna and more recently managed the company’s financial performance during the business transformation that accelerated from the COVID-19 pandemic. She brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience as a financial executive with a focus on organic and inorganic growth, financial performance, insightful analytics, and increased accountability and transparency. Prior to her position with CVS Health, Boratto served as vice president and member of the U.S. market executive leadership team for Merck, overseeing more than $15 billion in the U.S. pharmaceutical market. She also serves as a board member and audit chair for UPS.

Peeples-Dyer is an accomplished attorney and executive with more than 22 years of legal and compliance experience dedicated to the life sciences industry, advising pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and other companies on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and global compliance matters. In addition to serving as a strategic advisor to global life sciences clients at prominent life sciences law firms, Peeples-Dyer has also served as senior in-house legal and compliance counsel in leading companies to help develop and launch first-in-class products. Most recently, she was chair of the North America Food and Drug Practice Group for Baker McKenzie, a top global life sciences law firm, where she was also a member of the firm’s North American Healthcare & Life Sciences Steering Committee and worked extensively with the Global Healthcare and Life Sciences team. Peeples-Dyer was recently listed for the second time in Savoy magazine’s 2022 “Most Influential Black Lawyers,” among her many honors and recognitions in the legal and life sciences fields.
