The Opentrons Flex HEPA/UV Module is not a biosafety cabinet, nor does it protect the user. The module is used to maintain a sterile working environment inside the Flex.
The HEPA/UV Module should never be used for pathogens. It should not be used for situations where there are volatiles, or any potentially hazardous aerosolized materials.
The Opentrons Flex HEPA/UV Module is intended for use with our Opentrons Flex Robot, and can not be used as a standalone unit.
