Polycarbin is a platform for recycling and remanufacturing scientific plastics, transforming waste into circular economy products and carbon emission data. Single-use plastics are the largest source of CO₂ emissions for many researchers, but by extending the life cycle of materials through circular reuse, we can dramatically reduce our environmental footprint.
Opentrons x Polycarbin
Opentrons has partnered with Polycarbin to help labs in the US take a meaningful step toward sustainability by closing the loop on single-use plastic. Through this collaboration, labs now have the option to recycle Opentrons tip boxes through Polycarbin’s Closed-Loop Mailback program, transforming waste into future lab products instead of landfill.
