Labware Position Check has been restructured to address some of the most common pain points in the user experience. This includes moving offset storage to the robot rather than the protocol, adding the ability to reuse offsets for identical labware within and across protocols, and a new non-linear flow that allows users to pick and choose what is relevant to them.
Static Meniscus-Relative PIpetting
Users can now use liquid detection or initial liquid volume to position tips relative to the meniscus for transfers and mixes. These changes improve performance at low volumes and streamline protocol development by eliminating the need to fine-tune tip position in every protocol by eye.
App Localization
All new features will be translated into Chinese for the Opentrons App 8.4 release. Language preferences can be adjusted within the robot settings.
