All Opentrons Flex robots manufactured before Q3 2025 will require a robot upgrade to support the Opentrons Flex Stacker. An Opentrons Flex Customer Kit and upgrade are required when purchasing the Flex Stacker. The cost of this upgrade is not included in your purchase. Yes! The Stacker can accept designated labware. However, the stacker cannot be full when accepting labware.
No, we recommend designating a single type of labware per stacker.
You are able to use third party plates with the Stacker, however it only accepts Opentrons tip racks.
